The Valley at War Stocksbridge
The Valley at War is a charitable organisation based in the town of Stocksbridge, to the north of Sheffield set up to mark the centenary of the Stockbridge Memorial Clock Tower. Our mission is:

To collect and preserve for future generations artefacts, information and recorded history of the people of Stocksbridge and surrounding villages during the First and Second World Wars and to promote the preservation of the Stocksbridge Clock Tower War Memorial for the benefit of the public. To advance knowledge of the wartime history of Stocksbridge and surrounding villages, and to create an educational heritage trail in the Stocksbridge Memorial Gardens for the benefit of the public, telling the stories of the people commemorated on the War Memorial.

Sponsor a Lamp Post Poppy 2025
This fundraising appeal aims to put a poppy on every lamppost across the valley to commemorate those who gave their lives in conflict. Money raised will go towards a new interactive Heritage Trail in the Stocksbridge Memorial Clock Tower Gardens; a public artwork linking to a website where the stories of those who fell can be documented and their memories safeguarded for future generations.

Sponsorship includes a certificate and your name on our online Roll of Honour
